In reguard to other companies and other services, which do you respect the most? Have any of them inspired you?
I’ve always loved internet advertising, and there’s a few places that i pulled ideas from as far as traffic handling or billing strategies. In particular, I’ve always had a lot of respect for Craig’s List. It always gave me the impression that it was created by the average guy, and therefore millions of people love it without the whole corporate tyrant persona. That to me is what advertising is all about when I really think about it.
Also, free email programs such as Yahoo mail and Gmail impress me. One could tell that they had to have come from a really forward thinker. These people were smart enough to develop a place that makes people feel secure about their information, even though its probably not. That type of service, that type of comfort, where anybody could feel like they could potentially come to us, is what we strive for.
