Can Somebody Make Money Using Power Signups?
Yes it can be done. Guarantee sign ups can make you money and its through a specific kind of traffic filtering. Many people however, don’t understand that its a totally different type of advertising than other online markets out there. Our intention is to advertise for you… we control traffic, where its coming from, and how they get to your website. You’re expecting us to do that for you, which is fine, because that what we’re supposed to do, but after that you’ll have to market to those people much differently than if you had gone to go retrieve that traffic yourself.
For example, if you were using “pay-per-click” advertising or “Google AdWords”, you somewhat have control over which people you’re targeting to see your advertisement in the first place, but its still very hit or miss. Sure, you’ll have people visiting your page, but not necessarily ones that will sign up for your particular service or program. With “Guaranteed sign ups” its totally different. We bring you the sign ups in the most cost effective, and rapid way. By harnessing the massive amounts of traffic that our websites incur, filtering them out, and funneling them down, we’ll be able to forge a higher kind of quality lead and bring it to your business’s doorstep.
Now you’ve got someone semi interested in what you have available, so you can ultimately start making money off of that traffic in theory. One way that we’ve seen it succeed, is by using emails that have your own targeted messaging to direct them back to a certain site. Say you have a 1000 people signed up through a lead capturing form that you’ve created. You know that they’re at least interested enough to fill out your form, but what we’ll need to do in addition to that form is use your targeted email messages to link them back. From there you can implement your familiar marketing campaigns and make a profit over and over again because you’ve already got their contact information.
Its kind of like using a coupon packet. Your coupon is bound together with other coupons that are sent to a resident consumer’s home. And though they may have received it and looked over it, you don’t have a very good idea about weather or not they’re going to actually use your particular coupon offer. That is, until you come right out into the open and ask them if they want to. So step back for a moment to think about this particular strategy and understand that it is a very different kind of traffic that you’re dealing with. Just as a magazine’s traffic differs from a billboard’s traffic, a guaranteed sign ups campaign generates its own numbers. Its up to you, to figure out what the next step is in order to transform that lead into a potential client.
So how do I know that I’m actually getting people who want to sign up and not just visitors to my site?
Hi Nathan, when subscribers complete your form, most autoresponders or signup forms have back offices that allow you to view your leads. Sometimes the info is mailed to you.
Whatever your setup is, you should definitely receive notification that a lead has been completed.
If you do not currently have a technology in place that does this, I would recommend either getresponse.com or aweber.com as an autoresponder service, as both of these companies keep you informed of who’s signing up on your site!
Thank you PowerSignups for bringing these issues to the table. No one is talking about them in this way! I think its a breath of fresh air and innovative to do this!!
Does the quality last on every on purchase? I mean I’ve experienced great leads on my first order and then sorry leads on the next. Will you do that?
@Jackie – If anything, I can honestly say that a. traffic quality is always getting better with customer feedback, and b. as you learn how to market to these leads (i.e. what messages work best, conversion data, etc.) your ROI will always increase.
If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
@wallace – if it sounds too good to be true, research the hell out of it.
Your Coupon Book analogy brings to mind this question…Are your prospects signing up for a series of opportunities and if so what is the average number. In other words, if someone signs up on my capture page how many other capture pages have they signed up on ( on average) through your system. Very simply, How big will the ” coupon book ” of opportunities be that I am competing against for conversions?
